The Russ & Daughters Herring Pairing

Join us on June 18th, for a celebration of the wonders of herring at the annual Russ & Daughters Herring Celebration. Be part of an evening filled with a dizzying and delectable array of Russ & Daughters herring preparations, including the prized New Catch Holland Herring (Hollandse Nieuwe).

We'll celebrate this piece of gastronomic heaven, the fabulous, buttery and mild matjes (young) herring at this annual feast and fête. Astor Center's wine experts will pour a sparkling wine meant to pair across the board as well as traditional, bracing shots of icy cold vodka, and Dutch guest chef Linda Steen will serve an interpretation of the classic Holland herring with a Russ & Daughters inspired smoky twist, alongside a cocktail pairing.
