Leticia Moreinos
Leticia Moreinos was born and raised in Brazil. She moved to the US in 1997 to pursue a career in cooking and food writing. She is a graduate of The French Culinary Institute and received degrees in both Culinary and Pastry Arts. She trained in the kitchens Le Cirque 2000, La Grenouille, La Caravelle and Payard Patisserie & Bistro.
She works regularly in recreational cooking classes at ICE, FCI , JCC and here at the Astor Center . She also teaches out of her professional kitchen in CT.
Leticia’s passion for other cultures has leaded her to study many languages and cuisines. She is fluent in 4 languages (Portuguese, English, French and Spanish) and is currently developing recipes for a project about her native Brazilian Cuisine. She is working with much enthusiasm to bring Brazilian Cuisine to new heights and has been featured in several media outlets, including Fine Cooking Magazine.
A student of her craft, Leticia is often going to other classes, demos and courses, including food journalism with Alan Richman at The French Culinary institute. She is a proud member of IACP and NYWCA.
