Susan Spungen

Susan Spungen is a food stylist, recipe developer, editor and author. A founding food editor of Martha Stewart Living, she created the magazine’s test kitchen and food department. The author or coauthor of several cookbooks, Susan has now moved into consulting for Hollywood, serving as the culinary consultant and food stylist for Julie & Julia—where she did everything from consult with director Nora Ephron about what food should appear in the film, to training Amy Adams and Meryl Streep how to cook onscreen, to making it all look delicious—and for the just-released It’s Complicated. Most recently she was in Rome filming Eat, Pray, Love, starring Julia Roberts and directed by Ryan Murphy of Nip/Tuck fame.
