Piedmont is one of Italy's most significant, wine-producing regions. Nestled between the Alps and the Apennines with major rivers crossing through it, the geologic history and topography of this epic region help explain why the wines are so unique and irresistible.

Part one of a two-part series, Intro to Piedmont gives a deep, comprehensive understanding of the region's provinces, soils, and climate influencers. Guests will taste wines from different areas of Piedmont demonstrating how varied the wines can be.

Classes are 2 hours long, including a Q&A session with Astor Center Instructor Sarah Sutel Looper.
