Chris Cuzme

Chris Cuzme is a professional musician, avid homebrewer, and devoted student of all things beer. Cuzme is also an officer in the New York City Homebrewers Guild, in which role in 2006 and 2007 he helped organize and present a nationally-recognized beer education program for New Yorkers to become knowledgeable and perceptive beer critics. Cuzme left his daygig as a research compliance associate in financial services in 2006 to pursue his dual vocations of great music and fine beer. He currently writes on craft beer/beer and food pairing for Hong Kong's Brink Magazine.

In an effort to educate people about craft beer, he first began to host beer and food pairings in January of 2007 at his local favorite, Jimmy's No. 43. The popularity of these events led to a proud partnership with Mary Izett and ultimately formed The New York City Degustation Advisory Team.

He has served selections of his homebrew and organized the live music line-up at Brewtopia (Great World Beer Festival), NYC’s largest beer festival several years in a row. Partnered with Chris Post, Alex Hall, and Al Duvall, he is involved in the start-up Craft Brewery, Nomad Brewing Company, scheduled for production in January 2009.
