Gwen Hyman

Gwen Hyman is the author of Making a Man: Gentlemanly Appetites in the Nineteenth-Century British Novel and, with Andrew Carmellini, of Urban Italian: Simple Recipes and True Stories of a Life in Food. She has been published in forums ranging from Victorian Literature and Culture to the Robb Report. Gwen is an associate professor of Humanities and the director of the Center for Writing and Language Arts at the Cooper Union in New York City, where she teaches about literature, culture and writing.
