Sarah Sutel Looper

Presently Tasting Director at Wine & Spirits Magazine, Sarah has been in the wine and food world for twenty-five years. She is a Master Sommelier candidate, a Certified Wine Educator, and she holds her Advanced with Merit from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. Her passion for wine lies firmly in educating and sharing her knowledge in an open, friendly, and nonjudgmental atmosphere. She has been traveling to Barolo each May for the last several years and has come to know the region’s producers, wines and food, plus the region’s insider restaurants and wine lists. She cooks at home most nights seeking to put her own stamp on classic and regional fare ranging from French haute-cuisine to Szechuan. Whenever possible she collects and drinks Champagne, Barolo and German Riesling, but she is an equal opportunity drinker. Sarah is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.A. in History and a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America’s Baking and Pastry program.
