The romantic concept of "terroir" is French in origin and has no direct translation to a single word in the English language. Even so, it gets thrown around a lot in the international wine world and is the "je ne sais quoi" of quality winemaking. The world's best winemakers strive to showcase it in their wines. In this class, we will taste a variety of terroir-defining expressions from around the world and discuss how and why the wines end up tasting the way they do.
Class is 2 hours long, including a Q&A session with sommelier and expert wine educator Chris Struck.
What you can expect:
- 1 sparkling welcome wine
- 6 wines with expressive terroir
- Palate cleansing bread & cheese
- A 20% discount on all wines tasted to use in-store after class
