Keith Beavers

Keith Beavers is a self-taught wine ‘geek’, who blogs and vlogs as ‘The East Village Wine Geek.’ He is owner of In Vino Restaurant and Wine Bar and former co-owner of Alphabet City Wine Company Wine Shop. His involvement in the latter led to an interview with Eric Asimov and feature article in the New York Times’ ‘Dining In’ section, in March 2010. In addition to hosting educational wine tastings and maintaining an active presence on Social Media, he has appeared on NBC’s Sunday Today in New York as a wine educator, and has collaborated on educational wine videos with Sud De France and Sadat X.
With an early background as a musician and sound engineer, he has been fortunate to combine his love of music and his love of wine into the concert series, ‘Vivo in Vino,’ of which he is a co-producer. The series invites a wine-maker and musicians from the independent music scene, to create a unique and memorable concert and wine-tasting experience in the intimate, cave-like environment of In Vino Restaurant and Wine Bar.
