Amanda Schuster
Amanda Schuster was a shop consultant and Assistant Spirits Buyer at Astor in the early 2000s when Mad Men first aired and we almost had a rye shortage. After her introduction to spirits makers and writers on the scene, she went on to become a spirits and cocktail writer for various publications, including Saveur, Liquor.com, Forbes, Bloomberg, Imbibe, and many others, and was the Editor-in-Chief of Alcohol Professor. She is the author of the books Signature Cocktails, Drink Like a Local New York, and New York Cocktails. She thinks the worst thing to happen to whiskey since Prohibition is the Pickleback.
