Martin Markvardsen

Martin Markvardsen is the Senior Global Brand Ambassador for Highland Park, representing the brand worldwide since 2006. He will be celebrating his 20th anniversary in August 2026. With nearly 36 years in the whisky industry, he has worked across production, warehousing, and distillery operations, and previously served as Whisky Manager at the famed Quaich Bar. Widely recognized as the longest serving ambassador for a single whisky brand, Martin has earned top industry honors including Master of Malt, Keeper and Master of the Quaich, and multiple Icon of Whisky Global awards. He is also closely involved in Highland Park’s whisky making and cask selection. A former two time Danish boxing champion, Martin spends his free time training and cycling.
