Colin Spoelman

Colin Spoelman was born and raised in rural Kentucky, where he first learned to drink by buying liquor from bootleggers. After moving to New York he began to study the science and craft of distilling, starting with moonshine and moving to bourbon and other whiskies. In 2010, he co-founded Kings County Distillery, and currently serves as its Master Distiller. He is also co-author of The Kings County Distillery Guide to Urban Moonshining: How to Make a Drink Whiskey, published in 2013 by Abrams Books.
