Francine Segan
Noted food historian and lecturer, Francine Segan, whose Opera Lover's Cookbook was nominated for awards by both the James Beard Foundation and IACP, appears on numerous radio and TV programs. She has recently appeared on CBS'S national Early Show, the Discovery and History channels as well as on the Food Network.
Ms. Segan's lively and informative lectures range in topic from the Dining Customs of Ancient Greece to the Food Fads from the Roaring '20s to Modern Times.
A consultant on historic menu planning, Ms. Segan has created fundraising events on a variety of topics for such organizations as Lincoln Center, Shakespeare & Co., The Norman Rockwell Museum, Theater for a New Audience, New York Foundling Hospital, and Princeton Shakespeare Festival.
Ms. Segan teaches at Sarah Lawrence College and lectures across the country on a variety of topics. She has addressed audiences at a variety of venues including The Smithsonian Museum, Dahesh Museum, Virginia Fine Arts Museum, 92nd Street Y, Princeton Club, Colony Club, Williams Sonoma, and Newport Historical Association.
