
Gregg Glaser
Gregg Glaser has covered the "beer beat" since 1994 and spirits and saké for the past six years. He’s currently Editor in Chief for “Yankee Brew News,” News Editor for “All About Beer Magazine,” Contributing Editor and Columnist for “Modern Brewery Age,” Contributing Editor and Columnist for "Beverage Media" and a writer for the “Wine Enthusiast” website. He’s also written for dozens of other publications.
Gregg conducts regular tasting panels for several of the publications with which he is affiliated. Since 1996, he’s been the Competition Director for the “Great International Beer Competition,” the largest professional beer competition on the East Coast.
In the arena of electronic media, Gregg was the Beer Commentator for Cablevision of Connecticut Channel 12’s “The Exchange,” a daily TV talk show, and he served as Beer Editor for “What’s Cooking Fairfield County?” and "Side Dish," both weekly radio talk shows.
Gregg consults for breweries, importers, wholesalers, restaurants, taverns and package stores. He also conducts beer tastings and dinners at restaurants, working with the chefs to prepare the menu, and teaches beer tasting and homebrewing classes for gourmet food and cooking stores and on the adult education level. He’s booked as a speaker at business and association meetings throughout the year.
Gregg has a degree in Communications with concentrations in Cinema, Television and Radio from Ithaca College. He studied comparative media in Britain at the BBC, IBA and Pinewood Film Studios and in Italy at RAI and Cinecittà.
