It seemed as though the stars were aligned in March 2002 when Kerin Auth stumbled upon and accepted a very exciting job as a sales representative for the Tempranillo Inc. the exclusive distributors of the largest importer of Spanish Wine in the country, Jorge Ordoñez’ Fine Estates from Spain, distributed here in New York by Tempranillo Inc. Having attended University in Sevilla, Spain for two years and ultimately graduating from Queens College with a double major of Spanish and International Business…all while supporting herself working in restaurants, getting involved in the Spanish wine business was a natural and very delicious path. As a former student of the American Sommelier Association in 2001, Kerin Auth now teaches the 4 hour Spain class of the very same program geared towards aspiring wine professionals…She also created and conducts several innovative classes on Spanish wine pairing classes at Murray’s Cheese Center and often hosts dinners with chefs at the James Beard House. Now an account manager with Tempranillo Inc. she continues to play a vital role in the overall excitement, understanding and education of all things Spanish.
