May Matta-Aliah

May Matta-Aliah is the President of In the Grape, an organization dedicated to making wine and spirits education accessible to everyone.

She is a long-time instructor at the prestigious International Wine Center, she was a guest wine instructor at the Schiller International University in Switzerland, and has lectured about wine widely for over 10 years to a wide range of groups ranging from curious appreciators to wine trade professionals.

Amongst her many accreditations, May hold the Diploma in Wines & Spirits (DWS) from the WSET, is a Certified Wine Educator (CWE) from the Society of Wine Educators and a French Wine Scholar (FWS) from the French Wine Society. Additionally May is the Armagnac Ambassador as well as the Center for Wine Origins Ambassador for the NY market and teaches extensively on the subject of Armagnac, Port and Champagne on their behalf.
